Eons was recorded over the course of two days at an old house in rural Germany. This is the third album by Ensemble Infinity, a group hailed for their “a spell-binding sound, a unique approach to jazz” (Musical Memoirs, USA), and “an exciting ensemble […] exploring lush sound, harmony and groove.” (Salt Peanuts, Norway). Featuring pieces by bassist Ethan Cohn and trumpeter Sebastián Greschuk, Ensemble Infinity's latest project demonstrates the pair's compositional kinship, while leaning further into the music's improvisational elements than their previous releases. Blu Snow is intended as a candid snapshot of Ensemble Infinity's working process, exploring worlds of jazz, ambient, and the avant-garde.
